Friends are the only angels
We’ll ever get to see
While still on earth
While we still can breath

They’re there for us
Through thick and thin
They light our way

I think of friends as flowers
that grew from something small
a smile, a hug, a kindly word
to catch me when I fall.

I think of friends as angels
that God has sent my way
to pick me up when things go wrong
bring sunshine into skies of grey.

I think of friends like summer
the warmest time of year
when everything seems better
and everything's so clear.

I think of friends as little stars
when I'm lost they shine their light
when i see only darkness ahead of me
my friends light up my life.

I think of friends as butterflies
beautiful, and free
I know if ever I need them
they'll be right there for me.
